Wonderful adventure yesterday morning – I got Martin to wake me up so I could leave the house at seven and cycle down to join him at the park on the edge of Lough Erne. We took out two inflatable kayaks and paddled to Devenish Island to look at the monastic ruins there. I didn’t take a camera, but here’s a picture from the Northern Ireland tourist people…

Sunshine, almost deserted waters, exercise, lots of ducklings and a bit of culture, all before breakfast. It can’t get much better than that…
